Fabulous Fall Colours in Stanley Park

A crisp, clear fall day in Vancouver is pretty darn spectacular but absolutely nothing compares to fall in Stanley Park when the leaves are beginning to show off their autumnal hues of scarlet, golden and bronze.

Vancouver aka Hollywood North is all abuzz!

Wherever you look, it’s hard not to miss the myriad of film crews along with their unmistakable convoy of white trucks lining the streets of numerous neighbourhoods signalling that yet another film or television series is being shot in Vancouver.

Celebrating the Spectacular Seasons of Vancouver

Watching the maple leaves turn vibrantly red and gold, witnessing a profusion of pretty pink cherry blossoms, waking up to the first dusting of snow or walking carefree while barefoot on the beach in shorts and sunnies: who doesn’t want to live in or visit a city with four distinct seasons?

Late Autumn Adventures in Vancouver’s West End

Despite the blustery west coast weather that Vancouver typically receives in the late autumn and early winter season, this does not deter locals or visitors from visiting the iconic English Bay, a captivating ocean side with one of the most panoramic vistas of the city. It’s virtually jam-packed with people for the popular New Years Day Polar Bear Swim as well as for the internationally acclaimed Celebration of Light fireworks festival in the summer, but during the late fall/early winter when English Bay in the West End neighbourhood is less crowded does it become an interesting area that is truly worthwhile to investigate.

Stanley Park In Our Backyard!

At Lord Stanley Suites on the Park, wake up to a freshly brewed cup of java while you admire a magnificent sweeping vista of nature’s playground outside your window, where Stanley Park is situated right next door; replete with a glorious view of the snow capped North Shore mountains as well as picture postcard perfect Coal Harbour.

Spring is in Full Bloom around Lord Stanley Suites!

It’s undeniable; the signs of spring are just about everywhere you look as soon as you step out the doors of Lord Stanley; in fact, down the block at Chilco & Alberni, right at the entrance to Stanley Park, there’s a magnificent grouping of cherry trees in frothy, pink splendour. Saunter across Georgia St to Coal Harbour; there you’ll find spectacular splashes of pink blossoming trees that line the seawall walkway. Even the majestic Sliding Edge waterfall is flanked with carefree branches of blossoms swaying in the breeze and heralding the first breath of spring.
